Why we built it
Plenty of apps can turn a photo of your room into a beautiful AI render. That's a great first spark - but it's where they stop. You're left staring at a picture of a room you love with no idea what it would take, what it would cost, or where to start.
The hard part isn't imagining the change - it's everything after. What do I buy? How much is this going to run me? What's the order of work? Do I do this myself or call someone in? DreamDIY exists to close that gap: the whole journey from inspiration to a finished room, in one place.

Who's behind it
DreamDIY is built in the UK by Struttstep Digital - an independent, family-based development company started in 2026. Our aim is simple: bring functional digital products to market that genuinely help the people using them - no gimmicks, no dark patterns, just tools that earn their place by being useful.
DreamDIY grew out of our own home projects - and the all-too-familiar juggle of one app for inspiration, another for the shopping list, a spreadsheet for costs, and a dozen browser tabs for how-tos. After one too many projects stalled somewhere between the idea and the first tin of paint, we built the tool we wished we'd had: the whole journey in one place, made for UK homes first - UK pricing, UK suppliers, and plans that reflect how people here actually get work done.
