We built DreamDIY because our own projects kept stalling between the idea and the first tin of paint.
DreamDIY helps you plan a home improvement before you spend a penny. You see your own room with the change made, then get the materials, estimated costs and a step-by-step plan, or a brief to hand to a tradesperson.
Why we built it
It started with our own home projects, and the usual juggle: one app for inspiration, another for the shopping list, a spreadsheet for costs and a dozen browser tabs of how-tos. Too many of those projects stalled before anything got bought.
So we built the tool we wanted: the picture of the finished room, the shopping list and the order of work in one place. It's made for UK homes first, with UK suppliers and plans that reflect how work actually gets done here.

Who's behind it
DreamDIY is built in the UK by Struttstep Digital, an independent, family-based development company started in 2026. You pay once for membership and never again. We'd rather DreamDIY earned its place by being useful.
