Deleting your data

Last updated: 13 July 2026

Your right to be forgotten

You can ask us to permanently delete your DreamDIY account and everything tied to it at any time — whether you signed up with an email address, with Google, or with Facebook. This page explains how to make that request and what we remove.

How to request deletion

Email support@dreamdiy.co.uk from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Sending it from your registered address is how we confirm the request is really you. That’s all we need — no account number or password.

What we delete

  • Account & loginYour email, password, and any Google or Facebook sign-in link.
  • Room photos & rendersEvery before photo you uploaded and every AI visualisation generated from it.
  • Projects & plansSaved projects, materials lists, step plans, notes, and progress ticks.
  • Community activityIdeas-board posts you published and ideas you saved or reported.
  • MessagesAny contact messages or support threads tied to your account.

The one thing we may keep is a minimal record of past payments where UK tax and accounting law requires it — held by our payment processor, Stripe, never your card details. Everything else is erased.

How long it takes

We’ll confirm we’ve received your request within 72 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days, then email you to confirm it’s done.

If you signed in with Facebook

You can also remove DreamDIY from Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites. That stops any future data sharing from Facebook, but to erase the data we already hold, send the deletion request above.
